Do small businesses need a health and safety system?
Yes. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, every PCBU (person conducting a business or undertaking) has a duty to manage risks to the health and safety of workers and others, regardless of size.
A health and safety system does not have to be complicated, but it does need to be genuine and used in practice. TSQA builds systems that are proportionate to the size and risk of your business.
Does hiring a consultant remove my health and safety responsibilities?
No. Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, a PCBU cannot contract out of its duties.
